This looks to be a postcard with a printed signature, not actually signed on the postcard itself.

a photographic printer in the 1940s & 1950s looks to have printed this postcard possibly for his store? I'm not sure but I believe this picture was extremely popular back in the 1940s and the Associated Press loaned out the image on consignment to local stores to print novelty items using the image. This seems to be a product of that deal. This is my best guess on this item
