Gold in and on white quartz piece. Total weight of the piece is 1.1 grams. You can see the gold is both on the surface and runs through the piece. It is a great example of gold right from the vein. The gold is a very brilliant yellow and really sparkles in the sunlight and the quartz is a nice, clean white making for a nice contrast. About the gold. The weight provided is for the total piece - the quartz and the gold. This is a specimen piece - not bullion. It is a collectible mineral sample. I have not tried to represent the weight of the gold, the weight of the gold is usually less than the total weight - but not always.
About buying gold. Gold is very valuable. A little bit of gold is worth a lot of money. Currently gold is around $135 a gram. The pieces are shown next to the dime to show actual size.
