This attractive vintage postcard features a striking sepia photographic image of Benvenuto Cellini\'s masterpiece bronze sculpture, Perseus with the Head of Medusa (Perseo con la Testa di Medusa), displayed under the Loggia dei Lanzi in the Piazza della Signoria in Florence, Italy. The composition captures the full statue from an impressive low angle, showing Perseus triumphantly holding aloft the severed head of Medusa while standing atop her vanquished body, all set against the rusticated stonework of the Palazzo Vecchio in the background. The caption on the front reads \'FIRENZE — Loggia dei Lanzi / Perseo con la Testa di Medusa (B. Cellini)\' in elegant period typography. The card is a printed lithograph published by E.P.F., with a divided back layout consistent with the Divided Back era (1907–1915).
