Regular 25 cent cover price edition. Cover by Walt Kelly. Stories and art by Walt Kelly. This Dell Giant features Walt Kelly Pogo reprints from Animal Comics. It was actually a dispute over this reprint comic that caused Walt Kelly to leave Dell Comics. In an early Pogoverse story by Kelly, the other animals try to trick Albert the Alligator with a help wanted ad from a suitcase factory, but luckily for him, Albert can't read. A fish story keeps growing until Pogo and Albert are hunting for a whale in the pond. Albert and Pogo want to find the Fountain of Youth, so they hold an election to see who should lead the expedition.
