This vintage postcard features a detailed view of five carved column fragments (colonnettes) from the West Portal of the famous Chartres Cathedral in France. The intricate Romanesque and Gothic sculptures are displayed against a dark background. Published by Neurdein et Cie (ND Phot.), this is card number 988 in their series. This Divided Back era (c. 1907-1915) postcard is unposted and in good condition with minor corner wear; it has a Berea College Library stamp and handwritten collection notes on the reverse.
