This Central Intelligence Agency challenge coin combines one of the Intelligence Communityβs most recognizable seals with a reverse focused specifically on Special Operations and Covert Actions, giving it a much more mission-oriented identity than a standard CIA seal coin.
The obverse displays the CIA seal, including the eagle and red compass rose set against a white shield, surrounded by deep blue enamel and the words Central Intelligence Agency and United States of America. Gold-tone raised lettering and borders create strong contrast across the face.
The reverse shifts to a black field with a large raised eagle and vertical dagger, framed by the inscriptions Special Operations and Covert Actions. The combination of intelligence imagery, operational wording, and high-relief metalwork gives the coin a strong visual connection to collectors focused on CIA, clandestine-service, and Special Operations material.

This CIA Special Operations challenge coin retains bright blue enamel, strong raised gold-tone lettering and relief, and clear red, white, and black design details, with scattered finish wear and handling marks visible along the gold-tone edge and reverse surfaces. The black reverse field also shows fine surface marks from prior handling and display.
