The Book of Darkness was inspired by the Old School RuneScape God Book aligned with Zaros (Ancient Book in RuneScape 3). It is an artistic handmade recreation that can serve as inspiration, as a journal and for cosplay.
The book comes in two variations: light and dark.

Each version of the book will be produced in a limited run of only 100 copies.
Handmade
From the carefully bound pages to the smallest details, every aspect is shaped by hand, making each book unique and durable.
Sheets and pages
The book contains 204 sheets and 408 pages divided into 9 sections. Each section has 18 or 24 high quality A5 double printed sheets (80 gms A+ quality paper or 80 gms purple paper) and 1 single printed A5 special sheet (160 gms paper). Out of the 408 pages, 354 are write on pages, so you can add your own notes and ideas.
Binding
The Book of Darkness pages were manually bound together with the power of Zaros and that of the modern adhesives with the perfect binding technique so we don?t revert back to the ?damaged book?.
Size
The paper block used for the Book of Darkness is A5 size (148 x 210 mm or 5.33 x 8.27 inches). The covers are slightly bigger to stay as close to the in game proportions from the item?s icon and measure 165 x 230 mm or 6.49 x 9.05 inches. The thickness of the book is 30 mm or 1.18 inches. As with any fine measurement, a slight variation of a few millimeters is possible.
Covers
The covers bring another layer of durability and they?re created with 3 mm thick hardboard covered by one layer of self adhesive matte photo paper (128 gms) with a design that recreates the in game version, with the added detail of the book title. This same zarosian design appears on the two inner covers and on most of the pages of the book. The spine of the book has a secondary layer of self adhesive paper. Beeswax The covers are coated with pure beeswax which increases the durability, makes it waterproof, and adds a medieval touch to the design. IRL Book of Darkness photo Weight The book is heavy, it might be an off-hand / shield slot in game, but it weights 750 grams, so it could easily be fit for an IRL main hand slot. Untrimmed Edges While most modern journals and books have trimmed edges, most tomes and ancient books that inspired Jagex when making the god books had untrimmed or deckle edges. The IRL book of darkness has untrimmed edges which contribute to the visuals of the sides. Stripped Sides The sides of the book are stripped. The effect is created both by the untrimmed pages and by the alternation of white and purple pages and reinforced by the special pages which are thicker. Written Pages Some pages contain info about Zaros and about the book itself while others have been intentionally left empty so that whoever wields it can take important notes. The take notes option has been added to the book of darkness. IRL Book of Darkness photo Other Details The IRL Book of Darkness is a passion project which was made with more fine details and subtle references.
All the materials used are non-toxic and biodegradable.
Each book takes several hours to make spread across multiple days because of drying and pressing times. Depending on the amount of orders I have at any given time it could take anywhere from 1 day (if I have ready made copies on hand) to 14 days before I ship the order. Standard shipping via the Romanian post guarantees 4 days for leaving the country, with no further transit guarantees.

Beeswax Coating: The covers are sealed with pure beeswax. Keep away from direct sunlight, high heat, or open flames, as beeswax can soften or melt, and paper burns.
Moisture: Although beeswax adds a level of water resistance, the book is not waterproof. Store in a cool, dry place to preserve its quality.
Edges & Corners: The book features untrimmed deckle edges and firm hardboard covers. Handle carefully to avoid paper cuts or corner scrapes.
