The Benchmade 15016-2 Hidden Canyon Hunter is an earlier discontinued version of Benchmade’s compact HUNT-series fixed blade. Built around a CPM-S30V drop-point blade, the 15016-2 was designed as a compact field and hunting knife with plenty of cutting control for skinning, detail work, and general outdoor use.
This version features the older contoured Dymondwood handle scales, giving it the classic reddish-brown wood appearance associated with Benchmade’s earlier HUNT lineup. The full-tang construction, pronounced finger groove, and extended spine jimping provide a secure and controlled grip despite the knife’s compact overall size.
Included is the original-style Benchmade brown leather sheath shown in the photos.
This 15016-2 is discontinued and predates the later 15017 Hidden Canyon Hunter generation, making the older Dymondwood configuration increasingly desirable to Benchmade HUNT collectors.
