A GUIDE TO COMIC BOOK GRADES.NM, Near Mint=Like New. You reallyhave to look close to find any flaws at all. Might have one tinycolor flake, or other very minor blemish.VF/NM, Very Fine to Near Mint=Nearly perfect, but when you look close, there is a tiny flaw or two that keep it from near mint.VF, Very Fine=Almost Like New with just a couple of tiny,barely noticeable flaws. One or two small color flakes along the spineare acceptable, but no folds or tears.F, Fine=A nice lookingcomic. Still Glossy and handsome, but has more noticeable flaws such asseveral color flakes along the spine. The cover should still be firmlyattached at the staples.VG, Very Good=A decent looking comicthat is showing more heavy wear. May have subscription crease down themiddle. May have a loose staple.G, Good=Well worn, but stillsound. Generally the lowest grade that most collectors will accept formost books. Could be soiled, lack colorgloss or have tape on it. Some drawing on cover is acceptable in thisgrade.FA, Fair=Really beat. Can Have large chunks missing, acompletely split cover, or coupons cut out. Cover may be scribbledon.P, Poor= Just about as bad as you can get. A rag withmissing pages. Could be coverless or barely there.
