Authentic Ancient Egyptian Antiques Ankh Key of Life Eye of Horus Scarab Artifact BC
📜 Description
🔹 History About the Item
The piece is dominated by a large blue-green oval loop forming the upper section of the Ankh. Dark and ochre-colored bands divide the loop into decorative sections and provide a strong contrast against the turquoise-toned surface.
At the center of the horizontal crossbar is a prominent Eye of Horus (Wedjat Eye) motif, carefully incorporated into the composition.
The vertical body is further decorated with a raised blue-green scarab beetle, positioned between two red circular elements with ochre borders. Together, these symbols create a visually powerful arrangement associated with life, protection and regeneration in Egyptian religious imagery.
The rectangular pedestal is particularly attractive, with a continuous carved decorative band incorporating Egyptian plant and lotus-like motifs around the base.
The dark surface, contrasting turquoise-blue details, ochre accents and red elements give the piece substantial visual depth. Surface texture and variations are clearly visible throughout the photographs.

🏺 About the Ankh in Ancient Egypt
In Egyptian religious imagery, gods and goddesses were frequently represented holding the Ankh, and it became closely associated with divine power and the continuation of life.
This piece combines the Ankh with two other major Egyptian symbols:
The Eye of Horus (Wedjat) was associated with protection, restoration, healing and completeness.
The Scarab was closely connected with regeneration, transformation and the daily renewal of the sun. Its symbolism was particularly associated with the scarab-form deity Khepri and the rising sun.
The combination of the Ankh, Eye of Horus and Scarab makes the iconographic composition particularly interesting for a collection centered on Egyptian religious symbolism.
