Original vintage Thorens Excelda portable wind-up gramophone/phonograph, made in Switzerland and dating to approximately the 1930s–1940s.This ingenious compact gramophone was designed so the removable components could be stored inside the metal carrying case.Included are the gramophone and the removable components shown in the photographs, including the winding crank, tonearm/horn assembly, soundbox/reproducer and turntable components.The case retains its original textured/crackle finish and “PATENTED – MADE IN SWITZERLAND” badge.This is an antique item and shows age-related wear, scratches, finish loss and other cosmetic wear.
