Antique early 1900s vitrified porcelain butter pat in the "Delph" (sometimes referred to as "Delft") pattern featuring a blue and white transferware flower basket motif. Have found this pattern associated with James M. Shaw (a New York importer/supplier) and an identical pattern manufactured by Jackson China for Cook's Hotel & Restaurant Supply. Central design of a footed basket filled with blossoms is encircled by a geometric crosshatch medallion, surrounded by leafy flowering branches around the outer edge with a similar crosshatch pattern on the rim. This piece serves as a functional butter pat for a formal table setting or as an accent for a blue and white transferware collection. Piece is unmarked.
Excellent condition with no damage or usage wear. Brown specks on edge seen in photos was just some residue that cleaned right off. Please review all high resolution photographs for details.
