Unusual vintage/antique wooden folk art folding pocket knife trade sign or cutlery store display. Constructed in the form of an oversized pocket knife, with a carved wooden blade that folds into the wooden body. Large yellow \"KNIVES\" lettering on one side and two metal hanging eyes along the top.
Approximately 25 inches long × 6 inches high × 4 inches deep when closed. The wooden blade folds outward as shown.
Acquired from the longtime previous owner, who stated that he purchased the piece from an antique shop during the 1970s. I have no documentation establishing its maker or exact date, so it is being sold as an unidentified vintage/antique folk-art trade display.
Shows substantial age-related wear, scratches, paint loss, oxidation to hardware, discoloration and other evidence of use. No attempt has been made to restore the piece. Please examine all photographs closely.
