Historical Significance:

Carl Poellath was Bavaria’s premier maker of religious prints, medals, and badges before WWI. This piece served Polish-speaking Catholics in Silesia, Galicia, or Bavarian border parishes. After 1914, the firm pivoted to military badges (WWI & Third Reich), making pre-war religious prints like this extremely scarce.
