This traditional curved dagger is a Moroccan Koummya (also spelled koummiya), the iconic traditional dagger of the Berber and Arabic peoples of Morocco.The Hilt (Handle): It features a distinct peacock-tail or stylized u-shaped pommel at the top, usually wrapped or capped in engraved metal (brass, silver, or pewter) with a center made of dark wood, horn, or bone.

• The Blade: The steel blade is single-edged for the majority of its length but becomes double-edged near the curved tip. It is designed primarily as a piercing or slashing weapon.
• The Scabbard: It has a highly dramatic, exaggerated curved tip that hooks upward. The scabbard is traditionally decorated with dense floral, geometric, or chiseled metal engraving work.
• The Suspension Rings: It features two prominent metal rings attached to a colored cord (traditionally silk or wool). This allows the dagger to be worn vertically or diagonally across the left torso, suspended by the shoulder cord.
