The necklace features diverse assortment ofglass and carnelian beads, including14-faceted polyhedral glass beads (cube-shaped with truncated corners),monochrome, beads with mosaic cane eyes, mosaic cane beads and melon (ribbed) beads.
The beads display archaeological weathering, with some exhibiting iridescence and mineral encrustation acquired during centuries.
All beads are intact, in good condition.Largest bead: 15 mm, Necklace is 12.5"long.
Most of bead types in this necklace have close published parallels in the standard archaeological literature, including the works of Nenna, Kovalevskaya, and Callmer. Comparable examples are also represented in major museum collections throughout Europe and North America.
