This is a magic lantern slide that is 3¼ x 3¼ inches (83x83mm).
It shows a distant view of the Acropolis in Athens, Greece, taken from a rocky vantage point. The Parthenon and other ancient temple ruins are prominently visible on the hilltop. Below the main complex, the remains of the Stoa of Eumenes can be seen along the lower slope. In the background, the conical shape of Mount Lycabettus rises above the city buildings. A printed label at the top of the mount reads 'WONDERS OF THE WORLD', and a small circular sticker shows the number '15'.
