The Nippon Budokan (Japan Martial Arts Hall), often shortened to simply Budokan, is an indoor arena inthe center of Tokyo, Japan;near the Imperial Palace and Yasukuni Shrine.
The national championships of the different branches of major martial arts (judo, kendo, karate, aikido, etc.) are held annually at the Budokan.
On the front of the medal there is an image of a Lion and a Japanese character which means \"Braveness\".
On the back of the medal the Japanese inscription on top can be translated as: \"Martial arts competition award\" and three characters in the middle mean \"Budokan\".
The medal\'s weight is approximately 20.27 grams. It\'s approximate measurements are: height (33 mm); width (28 mm); and thickness (2 mm). It is well made and feels nice and heavy when you pick it up.
