This beautiful quality antique walnut cased Junghans bracket clock, dating back to circa-1900, is a stunning piece with a rich red walnut colour and beautiful bim-bam chime sequence striking the quarters and the hours . The clock features a quality mechanical movement stamped with the maker’s mark, as well as a 8-day power reserve and comes complete with the original key and pendulum .
It measures approximately 19” tall,12 3/4” wide , just under 8” deep and is in good working order,striking as it should and keeping good time.
It has a marvellous hallmarked silver presentation plaque to the front , a wedding gift to a Mr.W.Brown on the occasion of his marriage on August 1st 1905 from the Town’s Clerks Department Salford. Handmade and hand-carved with fine detail to the design , this original piece from Germany is the perfect addition to any room, adding a touch of antique charm and character to your decor.
Please remember while condition is superb, this clock is now well over one hundred years old and has been used, so will have many tiny marks and scratches etc from use - see pictures. It will also need to be set up by someone with a little knowledge to run perfectly, but if you’re new to antique clocks there are several excellent videos on YouTube that will talk you through the process.
