How It Works
The color change is powered by thermochromic pigments embedded in the wand's surface material. These pigments contain tiny microcapsules of leuco dye that become transparent above a certain temperature, revealing a different color underneath. The transition typically begins around 31°C (88°F) and becomes fully visible at drink-serving temperatures (60–85°C). The transition is smooth and gradual — you can watch the color shift travel up the wand as it warms. It works best with hot drinks; cold drinks below 31°C will not trigger the effect. Hand-wash only is recommended to preserve the thermochromic coating long-term.
