Offered here is a 2011 Leaf Cut Signature Edition Bruce Dern and Jon Voight Co-Stars card, hand-numbered 3 of 12 and encapsulated by Beckett Grading Services as an authentic cut signature.

PLEASE NOTE — THIS CARD IS SIGNED ON BOTH SIDES:

This is a dual Co-Stars issue. There is no printed card back. One face carries Bruce Dern, the other carries Jon Voight, and both photographs above show a signature for that reason.

THE SIGNATURES:

Bruce Dern has signed a personal check made out in the amount of $96.88, the tropical shoreline check design still clearly visible behind the signature along with the printed DOLLARS line and the account numbers along the bottom. Jon Voight has signed the opposite face in black ink over a photographic cut showing a patterned tie and jacket. Both signatures are bold, complete and legible.

ABOUT THE PAIRING:

Coming Home (1978) is the reason these two names sit on one card. Hal Ashby’s film about a paralysed Vietnam veteran and the wife of a serving Marine brought Jon Voight the Academy Award for Best Actor and brought Bruce Dern a nomination for Best Supporting Actor, with Jane Fonda taking Best Actress. Voight had already made Midnight Cowboy and Deliverance; Dern would go on to a second Oscar nomination for Nebraska in 2013, more than three decades later.
