Fascinating pair of original panoramic photographs dating approximately to the 1920s and apparently documenting the same large outdoor gathering.
One photograph presents an extraordinary wide view of the event with dozens of period automobiles spread across the landscape, including enclosed sedans, touring/open cars and other early vehicles. An American flag can also be seen among the automobiles.
The companion photograph shows a large posed group of men, women and children, with additional automobiles visible behind them.
The clothing provides an excellent glimpse of 1920s social history, including men's brimmed hats and caps, high-waisted trousers and period work/dress clothing, along with women's calf-length dresses, close-fitting hats and other flapper-era fashions.
The location, event and identities of those pictured are unknown.
