The product is a 1950s vintage carved hardwood (probably African Mahogany) birthing palaver tribal chair featuring African animals. Handmade in Eastern African (probably Malawi) from two planks, this open weave piece reflects the rich culture and craftsmanship of the African tribe. The chair is approximately 46 inches tall with an interlocking seat that is about 11.5 " by 12". It weighs approximately 16 pounds and is secure and sturdy after the repairs (see condition description).
