The R-6A was powered by Franklin O-405-9 radial engine producing 240 HP and 193 of these were built by Nash-Kelvinator. The R-6A never saw combat in WWII but did see service in the US and the FAA (Fleet Air Arm) of Britain. A very interesting manual to look back and see the very beginnings of early helicopters and vertical flight!!
