1941 AFL Seattle Convention Guest Badge Mt Rainier American Federation of Labor
Vintage 1941 American Federation of Labor (AFL) 65th Annual Convention Guest Badge from Seattle, Washington, dated October 6, 1941. Features a detailed multi-piece design with Mount Rainier imagery, “GUEST” bar, and classic AFL medallion.
This is an authentic Bastian Bros. Co. (Rochester, NY) convention badge worn by a guest attendee. The top bar shows Mt. Rainier with trees, “SEATTLE, WASHINGTON” and “65th ANNUAL CONVENTION.” The middle bar reads “GUEST.” The bottom medallion displays the American Federation of Labor globe and handshake emblem with red, white, and blue enamel, “OMNIA VINCIT LABOR,” and “ORG’D NOV. 15, 1881.”
Condition
Good vintage condition with honest wear consistent with an 85-year-old piece. Overall tarnish, patina, and surface scratches on the metal. Some enamel chipping primarily on the red border of the round medallion. Chains and connections are intact. No missing parts. Pinback on the reverse is functional. Not cleaned or polished — sold in as-found original condition.
