Original 1939 Soviet graduation photograph album produced for a graduate of the Kyiv Industrial Institute, documenting the 1934–1939 graduating class of engineer-technologists of the Chemical-Technological Faculty.
This is an impressive and highly decorative pre-WWII Soviet institutional photo album, individually made for graduate Galina Anatolyevna Bogdanovich.
The front cover bears embossed Russian lettering:
“КВШ СССР

Инженер Богданович Г.”
Approximately translated:
“USSR – Kyiv Industrial Institute – Graduation of Engineer-Technologists of the Chemical-Technological Faculty, 1934–1939 – Engineer Bogdanovich G.”
The cover is particularly striking, featuring large embossed profile portraits of Vladimir Lenin and Joseph Stalin, together with embossed / gilt lettering.
Inside are 8 thick individual cardboard leaves, containing original period photographic compositions documenting the institute, its faculty and the graduating engineering students.
The first photographic portrait depicts the album's original owner:
Galina Anatolyevna Bogdanovich
The subsequent large photographic montage pages show numerous individually identified students and faculty members.
Among the sections visible in the album состав х-т ф-та”
– Professors and teaching staff of the Chemical-Technological Faculty

The compositions contain dozens of individually named portraits, making the album potentially valuable for historical, genealogical and institutional research.
Several pages also incorporate original photographs showing the Kyiv Industrial Institute buildings, corridors, laboratories, chemical equipment and industrial installations, providing an unusual visual record of Soviet engineering and chemical education immediately before World War II.

A remarkable complete named 1939 Soviet engineering graduation album combining Stalin and Lenin iconography, dozens of identified graduates and professors, Kyiv institutional history, chemical engineering, laboratory and industrial imagery.
The fact that the album was personally produced for a named female engineer, Galina Anatolyevna Bogdanovich, gives it particularly strong provenance and social-history interest.
An excellent historical artifact for collectors and researchers of USSR history, Stalin era, Lenin and Stalin memorabilia, Soviet photography, Kyiv history, Ukrainian history, chemical engineering, industrial history, women engineers, Soviet education and pre-WWII institutional archives.
