1938 Royal KHM Standard Typewriter Touch Control Pica Working Glossy Black For Sale

Royal KHM standard typewriter, serial number KHM 2218524, made in 1938 by the Royal Typewriter Company in Hartford, Connecticut. The KHM followed the Royal Model 10. This one is from late in the KHM run, with pop up ribbon spool covers and flat metal side panels. The typeface is pica at 10 characters per inch.Features include Touch Control key tension, segment shift, a tabulator with its own tab stop set key, a two color ribbon selector, and a back spacer. Magic Margin arrived with the KMM a year later, so this machine uses manual margin stops.The typewriter works. Keys type and the carriage moves.
